Lab setups
Ahead of the start of the school year, the school computer lab was cleaned by the Little Kites members. Lab tops and other related equipment were distributed to all classes. Teachers were helped to connect them to the projector, etc.
Malayalam ComputingA class on Malayalam computing was organized by Kite mentors Sudha Jose and Ashley David for the Little Kites members . The class introduced Malayalam Unicode typing, methods of using Malayalam fonts in digital documents, and input tools, which were very useful for the students. This training will help them create their own content in Malayalam and use the language effectively in the digital world. Following the class, a group was selected to create a digital magazine to promote the children's skills , and Annemin was given the responsibility of it.
Help for aptitude test for 8th gradersThe ninth graders helped with the aptitude test conducted for the eighth graders. Little Kitties helped in setting up the computer lab for the test, distributing the children's registration numbers, and preparing the children for the test.
SCHOOL MARATHON REGISTRATION
Students of the Little Kites Unit of St. Joseph's GHS, Chengal School actively participated in the state-level School Innovation Marathon competition. The competition provided a great platform for the young innovators of the school to showcase their technological skills and innovative ideas.The children registered and submitted about five projects for the competition , which aimed to find solutions to various social problems through technology . These projects ranged from eco-friendly ideas to smart devices that simplify daily life. The students designed and completed their projects under the guidance of Little Kites Masters and other teachers. This partnership helped the children to foster new inventions, enhance problem-solving skills, and gain practical technical knowledge . The children are eagerly awaiting the next stage of the competition.
School Marathon ResultsSt. Joseph's GHS, Chengal School has won a prestigious national award at the School Innovation Marathon competition. The project 'Object Detector', presented by Little Kites members Christina Logi and Sreenanda Prakash, won the national award. This innovative device, which helps the visually impaired identify objects and avoid obstacles, was developed under the guidance of Little Kites mentor Ashley David . This national achievement is a great recognition of the school's technological education, children's interest in research and practical inventions.

This year's school elections were decided to be held on electronic voting machines. For this, an app called Samthi was installed under the leadership of some mistresses. One machine was prepared for the election of the head girl as a boy representative and another machine was prepared under the leadership of Little Kitties. After the elections, the results were received digitally. The Little Kitties members were able to do this work very well.
Robotics Exhibition
The robotics exhibition organized as part of the Robotics Fest held at St. Joseph's GHS, Chengal School, was a platform for the students' innovative ideas. The exhibition clearly demonstrated the children's ability to find solutions to social problems through technology. The students displayed several products, including a smart walking stick for the blind , a smart toll gate that helps reduce traffic congestion, and a fire-fighting robot that can be used in dangerous situations . The exhibition, which was attended by many people, including school authorities, parents and other students, was a great success in instilling scientific and practical knowledge in the children.
